Saudia, the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, has unveiled its new First and Business Class Check-In Lounge at Terminal 1 of King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah. Designed to enhance the premium travel experience, this state-of-the-art facility is part of the airline’s commitment to delivering unparalleled luxury and service, especially catering to elite travellers from key markets, including India.

Inaugurated by Ibrahim bin Abdulrahman Al-Omar, Director General, Saudia Group, the lounge offers a luxurious sanctuary with 10 dedicated check-in counters, comfortable seating, and exclusive amenities. Premium guests are greeted with traditional Saudi hospitality, including coffee and dates, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere from the moment they arrive.

As Saudia strengthens its ties with the Indian market, this new lounge offers personalised services tailored to meet the needs of Indian travellers. The facility includes a dedicated café counter offering a range of beverages, providing a relaxing environment before flights.

The opening of the First and Business Class Check-In Lounge aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, an initiative aimed at positioning Jeddah as a leading global aviation hub. The new facility is expected to boost connectivity and attract more transit traffic, supporting the Kingdom’s goal of welcoming 330 million visitors by 2030.

Riyadh M Alhudhaif, General Manager, Jeddah Hub, emphasised the significance of this new offering, stating, “Saudia’s new lounge redefines the airport experience for our premium guests. It is more than a check-in facility; it is an immersive experience showcasing Saudi culture and hospitality, setting a new benchmark for luxury travel.”

Complementing this initiative, Saudia is investing heavily in guest experiences, including seat retrofits, advanced in-flight entertainment systems, and high-speed connectivity, further elevating its position as a global leader in aviation.
