Riyadh Air has forged a significant three-year partnership with Accenture, aiming to fortify its technological framework and capacities in alignment with its ambitious goal of becoming the inaugural digitally-driven airline globally. Through this collaboration, Accenture will spearhead the establishment of Riyadh Air’s cloud-centric infrastructure, fortify cybersecurity measures, manage services, and oversee operations, all in preparation for the airline’s imminent launch.
This joint initiative stands to position Riyadh Air at the forefront of a new aviation era, one powered by digital-centric services. Leveraging state-of-the-art technologies like cloud-based data systems and artificial intelligence, the airline endeavours to craft a seamless travel experience not only for its esteemed guests but also for its workforce. By establishing a robust enterprise system at its core, Riyadh Air aims not only to initiate but also to scale its operations substantially, eyeing an ambitious goal of offering an extensive array of over 100 destinations by 2030.

Discussing growth, challenges, and opportunities during a fireside chat in ET Travel & Tourism Conclave, Akasa Air’s CCO & Co Founder, Praveen Iyer emphasised leveraging the nation’s top-tier service and potential. He said that despite pandemic induced slowdown, India’s aviation sector rebounded with record passengers. Iyer underscored infrastructure and tech advancements as pivotal tools while also sharing Akasa’s growth story and international expansion plans on the sidelines.
Boukadida added, “Accenture is pivotal in enabling Riyadh Air’s cloud-first strategy, and our unique architecture will ensure that our technology stack is future-proof and remains legacy-free. Riyadh Air is a digitally native airline focused on achieving the Kingdom’s 2030 vision to lead the aviation industry and put Riyadh on the global map as a destination and gateway to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The airline will also support the Saudi Aviation Strategy’s broader vision, and enable the National Tourism Strategy, unlocking Saudi Arabia‘s cultural and natural attractions to international tourists and creating new jobs.
