Increasing domestic connectivity, a new flight service connecting Jaipur to Kullu will start from Jaipur International Airport on Oct 14. As part of the winter schedule connectivity, intra-state flights will also improve connectivity to tourist destinations such as Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, and Bikaner, among other places.
The travel distance between Jaipur and Kullu will be two hours, increasing connectivity to the Himalayan state, said officials.
“Alliance Air is launching a new route from Oct 14 to Kullu. This flight service which will be twice a week on Monday and Wednesday is expected to increase tourism opportunities for both Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh as travel time will reduce drastically,” said a Jaipur airport official.
Noida International Airport is set to commence commercial operations on April 17 next year, handling both domestic and international flights. Despite attempts to advance the date, any delay could push approvals and scheduling by six months. Flight trials by major airlines and necessary tests are scheduled in the upcoming months.
The proposed fare for this flight has been fixed at INR 2,500. On Oct 14, Alliance Air’s flight number 9I805 will depart from Jaipur Airport at 8:20 am and land at Bhuntar Airport at 10:15 am. After a halt of 20 minutes, flight number 9I806 will depart from Bhuntar to Jaipur at 10:35 am. It will reach Jaipur Airport at 12:40 pm.Officials said as part of the winter schedule of the airport, more domestic flights are likely to start.
“Seasonal flights within Rajasthan will start after Oct 31 and with the new terminal opening, there will be better facilities. Flight services to more domestic destinations are also likely to start in the winter schedule,” said an official.
