Air India is set to broaden its horizons with the introduction of new services to Zurich, Switzerland, and an increase in flights to Phuket, Thailand, catering to the growing demand for seamless travel experiences.

Starting June 16, 2024, Air India will operate non-stop flights between Delhi and Zurich, marking its debut in Switzerland. Using Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, the airline will fly on four days a week – Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. This development expands Air India’s European footprint to seven cities, providing travellers with direct connectivity between Delhi and Zurich, with convenient onward connections to destinations across the Indian Subcontinent, Southeast Asia, and Australia.

Responding to robust demand, Air India is adding a second daily service (except Wednesdays) to its Delhi-Phuket route from June 1, 2024. This enhancement complements the existing daily flights between Delhi and Phuket, offering travellers greater flexibility and convenience. With this addition, Air India will operate nearly double daily flights to Phuket, strengthening its connectivity to Thailand from Delhi and Mumbai.

Campbell Wilson, Chief Executive Officer, Air India, underscored the strategic significance of these expansions, stating that they align with the airline’s commitment to providing exceptional travel experiences and enhancing connectivity for passengers. “The Zurich route will cater to both business and leisure travellers, strengthening ties between India and Switzerland. Similarly, the increased flights to Phuket aim to facilitate seamless travel for guests arriving from Europe, offering them more options and convenience,” he added.

Bookings for both the Delhi-Zurich and Delhi-Phuket flights are now open through Air India’s official channels, including the website, mobile app, travel agents, and online travel portals.
